The special exhibition "Shimmering Japanese Art in Gold, Silver, and Mica" will showcase about 40 pieces, focusing on sutras and calligraphy from the Heian period, along with paintings and calligraphy from the Momoyama period to the present. The artworks utilize beautiful materials like gold, silver, and mica, allowing visitors to experience Japanese aesthetic sensibilities.
The exhibition will run from June 14 to December 6, 2026, with opening hours from 9 AM to 5 PM. Admission fees are 2800 yen for adults and university students, and 1800 yen for junior high and high school students. It is conveniently accessible, located about 20 minutes by bus from Hakone Tozan Railway's "Hakone Yumoto" station.
